Millions of us have used powerful AI tools as a brainstorming partner. Generative AI can be immensely helpful in making a workout plan or a meal plan, for example. But when it comes to finding a partner for AI at work, there is a huge gap.
Until today…
We are thrilled to announce the launch of UiPath Autopilot™ for everyone, a powerful conversational AI companion that enhances your productivity at work. And at UiPath FORWARD, we announced that it’s free to get started with Autopilot!
"Autopilot is our first conversational agent. It helps with tasks like writing and sending emails. It can also securely find answers based on your company’s policies, and complete actions across applications. Building on UiPath Autopilot™ experiences for testers and developers (which have more than 20,000 users), Autopilot for everyone enables your entire company to benefit from AI," says Imran Aziz, Senior Director of Product Management, leading the Autopilot product initiative at UiPath.
Works across apps: unlike standalone AI tools, Autopilot securely integrates directly into your existing apps. It helps you automate a wide range of applications, including Outlook, Salesforce, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Jira, Google Workspace, Zoom, ServiceNow, Workday, GitHub, Concur, Docusign, and more.
Great at automating digital paperwork: Autopilot includes easy access to Clipboard AI (one of TIME Magazine’s Best Inventions of 2023). You can analyze documents using best-in-class document understanding models from UiPath, and copy/paste data into web forms, spreadsheets, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications like SAP easily.
Available everywhere: Autopilot for everyone is available on both Windows and Mac via UiPath Assistant. It can even be accessed within other applications like Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 Copilot. With a simple and intuitive user experience, any employee can use it to automate tasks and be more productive.
Easily customizable for your organization: enterprise customers need the ability to customize and deploy flavors of Autopilot for specific teams, like finance, sales, marketing, or IT. Through the AI Trust Layer, you can easily make Autopilot your own by tailoring it with your knowledge sources, starter prompts, and automations (“tools”). You can even personalize the look and feel of Autopilot to match your brand, and tune Autopilot for specific scenarios to ensure it provides highly accurate results.
Governance and security: Autopilot for everyone is built on the UiPath AI Trust Layer and governance foundations, so you are in control of which users have access to Autopilot, prompts, knowledge sources through context grounding, and automations. Additionally, administrators can view a dashboard with insights into usage and engagement metrics, which enable you to see the ROI for your deployment.
Over 1,000 companies have expressed interest in trying Autopilot. This demand underscores the need for AI solutions that don't just offer intelligence, but truly transform how work gets done.
We have also seen incredible use cases with our early adopters, such as CSL, Wex, Telekom Malaysia, and dentsu.
Flo Ye, Director of Automation Solutions for dentsu & Imran Aziz, Senior Director of Product Management at UiPath join theCUBE to share how dentsu is transforming the performance review process with Autopilot.
dentsu uses Autopilot to make the end-of-year review process a breeze
Wex uses Autopilot as an agent to accelerate the process of briefing executives, and create content
We believe in being “customer zero” for our products, so it’s no surprise that over 3,000 UiPath employees use Autopilot to boost their general productivity, yes, but also to accelerate tasks unique to their role:
Erica Fusacchia, a product manager, uses Autopilot daily to author functional specs using templates: “In Autopilot, I uploaded a PDF spec of our exit criterion and a screenshot of UiPath standard naming conventions and it completed 80% of my telemetry spec. This efficiency lets me focus on fine-tuning rather than starting from scratch.”
Veronica DeSalvo, a Sales Executive, emphasizes how Autopilot enhances her customer interactions: "As a Sales Rep, Autopilot is like having a personal research assistant. Autopilot not only equips me with what I need to identify opportunities and progress deals but also gives me time back to spend in front of customers!"
Across other departments, employees are equally enthusiastic. Engineering Team members praise Autopilot's ability to streamline HTML website creation, while the Design Team appreciates its prowess in helping meeting participants complete action items before the meeting concludes.
Autopilot for everyone can also be accessed in popular productivity apps like Microsoft Teams, which has over 300 million users, allowing your entire team to collaborate with and control transformative automations without needing to open separate applications.
The Autopilot integration with Microsoft Teams enables you to:
Discover and run automations: users can easily tap into robust UiPath automation capabilities directly from their familiar Microsoft Teams interface
End-to-end workflow automation: seamlessly automate complex workflows that span across multiple applications and systems from within Teams
Using Autopilot within Teams, you can access and interact with your automations in the same place as all your work conversations
This integration creates the perfect productivity pair, enabling employees to leverage AI-powered automations within the communications app they’re in daily. By bringing UiPath Autopilot to where work happens, organizations can significantly reduce friction in adopting AI.
Of the integration, Srini Raghavan, VP of Product – Microsoft 365 & Teams Ecosystem, says: "UiPath is a valued Microsoft partner, committed to integrating people, agents, and automation to transform the modern workplace. Their Autopilot agent for Teams provides our shared customers with a seamless conversational experience, enabling the automation of complex workflows and business processes through the power of generative AI."
